The Week
This will be a perfect holiday for those who want to relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, enjoy healthy  food, explore the foundations of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. There will only be around 8 people on this holiday, so individual attention and adjustment will be assured. In the Ashtanga Yoga, Paul will give detailed instruction to develop your Primary Series practice. During the four evening yoga sessions, Susie will explore a more gentle  asana practice, combined with relaxation.

You will be staying in self-catering cottages at Little Bray House, which is situated in a lovely Exmoor valley. From your cottage you are able to walk straight into open fields, woodland - where deer roam - and alongside the River Bray. The area offers outstanding walking on Exmoor, as well as being within reach of the lovely north Devon beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde Bay and Saunton (all about 30 mins drive). The nearest main town is Barnstaple.

On this holiday you will have plenty of time to explore and enjoy the area. After the morning yoga practice on site at Little Bray House (10-12 noon) you will relax and then enjoy at 1pm a healthy macrobiotic-inspired lunch prepared by Susie. Macrobiotic holistic cooking is an approach to food which originates from Japan and involves the use of whole grains, beans, some fish, lentils, vegetables and sea vegetables. Susie is currently studying Macrobiotics at the Holistic Cooking School in Totnes, and the dishes will be prepared with locally grown organic and seasonal food. Susie will be happy to explain the theory and philosophy behind the cooking.

The afternoons are free for you to enjoy your holiday, and this schedule is partly designed to make it possible for those doing the yoga to bring partners and children who may not wish to participate in the asana classes. Please see below about the lower costs of bringing a non-yoga-ing friend or partner.

The evening yoga session offered on Monday to Thursday evenings and will be held at the local village hall a short walk away. The sessions run from 7.30-9pm

Holistic massage, Thai massage and Indian Head Massage
will be available to book during the holiday if desired
