Minsteracres is such a relaxing place to be. From the moment you enter the sequoia tree drive you start to feel less tense. There is an ancient woodland and walled peace garden.
I have run yoga retreats here since 2011 and I just adore the place. The retreats are always a very special weekend. I bring another 2 teachers with me, this time it will be Noel Sharpe and Stephen Fry, so there is always individual attention. You are encouraged to make the weekend just what you need. There is yoga before breakfast, for those that wish or a lie in for those in need of rest. It is a really warm and friendly yoga retreat and ideal if you have never been on a yoga retreat before. The room we use for the yoga is a beautiful 18th century ballroom with views to the Cheviot Hills and Hadrian’s Wall country.
We arrive at 5pm and there are 10 yoga and meditation workshops over the weekend. Do just as many as feels right for you. People are always really friendly, come with a friend or on your own. The nearest train station is Riding Mill (take a train to Newcastle upon Tyne and a short train ride from there to the local station where you can be collected.)
I bring a team of lovey massage therapists for the Saturday afternoon and they offer massage including Thai yoga massage, Reiki and Indian head massage.
It’s a restoring, wonderful weekend. I hope you can join us. Feel free to email to book and to ask more.
