Teacher:  Chetana Thornton: Chetana trained as a yoga teacher in 1998 in India with B.S Iyengar in Ashtanga Vinyasa and followed that with Sivananda in 1999. She trained in yoga therapy 500 hr training in 2000. More recently she has trained in acro yoga and her yoga influences are Donna Fahra, Barbara farmer, Iyengar, Scaravelli yoga, Shiva Rea.

Chetana’s teachings are adapted to the nature of each individual, her teaching tends to inspire reflection, that is “pratyahara” as we dive inwards and unravel and unwind, core holding positions. Her classes thread spoken poetry, mantras and dimensional, energetic, anatomical and internal awareness as to the healing potential and purpose of each asana on both esoteric and physical levels of being.

Overview: Our Intermediate yoga retreats are suitable for people who have a regular practice or have been practicing yoga on and off and have a good grasp it. We have highly experienced teachers on these retreats who will teach a higher level of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy and support you going deeper into your practice. Join us in our beautiful rural venue surrounded by the Sussex countryside with its cosy cottage style accommodation and views over the High Weald for silent morning walks, twice daily yoga and meditation practice, delicious freshly made vegetarian food and some of your own time to reflect and soak up the surroundings.
