Join Advanced Certified Jivamukti yoga teacher Emma Henry for 5 days of yoga and adventures in Iceland in October.
We’ll be based in the wild and peaceful Skíðadalur valley on the Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, our lodge is an ancient sheep farm that has been inhabited from the time of the Vikings. Our family run location includes newly built cottages, a traditional farmhouse, yoga barn, bath house, sauna and outdoor hot tub.
Time seems to stand still here and practising yoga and meditation in the Icelandic wilderness can be a liberating and powerful experience. North Iceland offers the ideal setting to watch the Northern Lights and our remote location with no light pollution means that if they happen, we’ll have a fantastic show!
Your yoga holiday will include 12 hours of yoga and meditation classes with Emma Henry. Jivamukti yoga involves a vigorous asana practice and has a distinct style that weaves together the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of yoga to form a deep and holistic experience on the mat. Your yoga holiday meals will be prepared by our expert chef Saba Rahbar, who will prepare you delicious, nourishing and warming vegan meals.
Iceland is made for exploring: From our retreat house you can head out on foot or horseback to explore the valley and nearby waterfalls. We are also offering a day hiking to the glacier with our local guide and we’ll spend an afternoon in the traditional fishing village of Siglufjörður. A trip to this part of Iceland would not be complete without a day out at the world famous Lake Mývatn geothermal region, where all that makes Iceland so unique can be experienced within a few hours, from powerful waterfalls, characteristic volcanoes, geothermal activity and a nature spa.
