Soak up the Autumn colours with a weekend of gentle yoga, meditation and guided walks in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
A weekend to nourish your body, mind and spirit. In a beautiful spot in the heart of the Dorset countryside slow down, quieten, and renew your inner resources. Leave feeling relaxed, de-stressed and ready for the world.
The meditation and yoga will be taught by experiened Hatha teacher Chris Holt, who has been practising yoga for 25 years and teaching people of all abilities and ages, including seniors and prisoners, since 2008. She teaches a yoga approach for the whole person – treating the practice as an opportunity for self-inquiry and self-nurture.
For this weekend, a combination of meditation and yoga sessions, combined with Autumn walks will start early evening on Friday and finishing after lunch on Sunday. Morning practices will be more invigorating; evenings calming and restoring.
The yoga will have an emphasis on developing strength and flexibility. There will also be periods of silence and evening yoga nidra (deep relaxation).
There will will also be two guided walks of around two hours – to explore and enjoy the beautiful countryside around the retreat centre.
Gently and safely taught, the weekend is suitable for beginners or more experienced yogis and meditators wanting to experience a gentle approach to asana (postures) combined with time to immerser ourselves in the sights and sounds of nature in its Autumn glory.
There will be time to treat yourself to a massage, or simply relax with a book or stare at the sky…
