29 December 2017 – 1 January 2018

A long yoga weekend on the stunning Isle of Wight welcoming in the new year with Emma Spencer-Goodier.

Nestled beneath the downs this enormous old farmhouse has an oak panelled hall with a burning log fire – the flames illuminate our yoga practice. Warm, congenial accommodation is perfect for relaxing, whilst stunning walks direct from the farm take you up onto the downs to enjoy the island’s seascape 360 degrees round.

The Yoga: I offer weekend yoga programmes to take participants deeper in their asana, pranayama (breath work) and meditation. Ideal for those of you who are curious about delving deeper into your yoga practice, these weekends are not suitable for the complete beginner. My background in Sivananda, Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga has cultivated a style that is flowing, clear and relaxing. As a lover of words and a teller of tales, my teaching is enriched with yoga philosophy, poetry and myths.

New Years Eve: Taran Cameron & I will be hosting a sacred Cacao Ceremony and Sound Journey into the heart, guiding us to open our hearts, forgive the burdens of the past and move forwards into 2018 feeling healed and loved.

The accommodation: Godshill Park Farm is exceptional, with superior 5 star ensuite rooms in the farm house and standard rooms annexed to the property with shared bathrooms. There is the use of the dining room and a further small sitting room within the farmhouse for quiet reflection and reading. There are televisions either in the bedroom or in the self catering communal areas.

The Food & Farm: Local food is used wherever possible, even homemade preserves from the farm’s own fruit. Kathy and Mark are keen to help preserve native rare breeds of animals so the surrounding farm land is full of sheep, cattle and horses. Llamas and Alpacas graze beside our native breeds and their beautiful fleeces are collected and made into the rugs and cushions you see around the house – perfect for meditation.

The price: all your yoga tuition, accommodation, and a healthy brunch each day and a hearty supper each evening with the exception of Friday night when I cannot resist the muddy walk to the local pub which is simply the best pub grub I have ever had in a wonderfully warm and friendly environment.
