Join us for a weekend of relaxing art retreat. Combined with relaxing country walks, massages and spa treatments, set in the most beautiful Kent Countryside. In partnership with the artist Catherine Farr, this privately run boutique retreat offers just 10 places, and unlike some retreats, Green Farm combines the beauty & simplicity of art in a natural setting with the ultimate luxury accommodation. Making your stay feel personal, intimate & completely unique.
The classes are for all abilities with plenty of 1 to 1 help throughout the weekend.
During the weekend you will have four scheduled art workshops but will have more time to make more art over the weekend. Catherine will be around to give extra pointers where needed!
The weekend will be based around learning to create sketchbook pages (which are an artist’s visual diary and a reference for other art work) and from this create drawings, both black and white and colour, to create pictures based on the beautiful areas of the community wildlife garden and the hay barn.

Green Farm is only 40 minutes from London – yet it feels a million miles away. A total escape, set on a private farm estate in the idyllic Kent countryside, surrounded by 12,500 acres of ancient forest and farmland with an abundance of local wildlife. You really get to see the changes in the seasons with the arrival of new lambs & nightingales singing in spring, bluebells in May. Green Farm is run as a small farm with an established vegetable garden which provides many of the ingredients for our home cooked tasty meals.
Green Farm is the beautiful Grade 2 listed country home of MaryAnn and Martin Richmond-Coggan and their 2 dogs. Recently restored, it was originally a Kentish Hall House built 600 years ago 50 years before Richard III was killed at the Battle of Bosworth.
The house is filled with character, with beautiful beams and many original features, each room is individual and inviting, with perfect places to read a book or simply unwind. Some of the highlights are, our living room with its Inglenook fireplace, our dining room with its beautiful beams, the boot room with its well still in use today and the conservatory with the beautiful views across the orchard and fields.
