Get away from it all…
Warm your body and soul on a restorative weekend of yoga and good food in the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
You will experience a mix of carefully chosen and diverse yoga – ranging from gentle to flowing sequences, and I will also lead you through various breathing practices. The food is vegetarian and all homemade and nutritious.
And you definitely don’t need to be an expert to come along to this retreat, many students have come to the retreats at beginner level, so it’s open to everyone.
7 classes in total and lots of free time to read, rest or whatever you choose. Sleeping 2 per room with shared bathrooms, or single occupancy is also available. You don’t need to come along with anyone (though I can put you in the same room if you do). Unique to these retreats is that they are really social with shared mealtimes, yoga and optional walks, so it’s also a way to meet like-minded people. Likewise you can chill-out or come along for the daily walk where you can explore the surrounding landscape (pack your wellies!)
Fishley is a tastefully restored country house located on the Norfolk broads.

Originally from the sandy beaches of Australia, Sally practiced Yoga for a number of years under the guidance of Michelle Merrifeld of Essence of Living. Since then she has been teaching yoga full time in the UK while upholding a daily practice. Her work consists of 1-2-1 sessions, weekly classes, workshops and retreats. She is known for teaching inspired classes that are a mix of challenge and fun. Her teaching is accessible and caters to various levels on these weekends. She has an MA in Art History and also teaches drawing and weaves some of these ideas about creatively into her sessions.
“I’ve been teaching yoga for 8 years and I’m interested in the body and what makes us move. I see Yoga as an amazing way to explore these worlds. I’m originally from Australia where my teacher Michelle, and her studio, are known for strong and breath-lead vinyasa flow yoga classes. My classes are rooted in this tradition and inspired by the jivamukti method and more recently also yin styles. I teach all of my classes in a breath-lead way (meaning that I count the breath) so that this sense of awareness is continually laced through the movement. Some classes will make you sweat (tapas) and others focus on stretching and releasing tension (aparigraha) and again others about feeling blissful (ananda). And all of my classes are taught as synchronised, moving meditations with intention setting and pranayama and meditation. Around the retreat, I teach 1-2-1’s, group classes and workshops. This is my 5th retreat, and they are my favourite way to teach yoga because it’s immersive and this means we can go deeper into the practice.”
